Description:
Musical theatre performances are made powerful due to the acting skills employed while singing. This class
explores how to approach a song from an actor's point of view, and then fuse the music with the words. The
student will also discover what musical material suits them best. Final class is open to friends and family.
Out of class work expected.

Description:
Broadway actors must be able to sing, act, and pick up movement very quickly. This class puts the actor
through new challenges in singing, acting and dancing every week, all in preparation for the professional
Audition, using the Laban-Analysis technique only taught in select schools (such as Yale, Julliard, and RADA).
This advanced class is meant to be taken more than once.
Out of class work expected. Prerequisite: Acting the Song.

Description:
The ATC Repertory Company is made up of talented young musical theatre actors that have proven themselves
capable of an intense amount of individual preparation, rehearsal and performance. The Rep Company will take
on the challenge of learning three plays to be performed for children, in rep (rotating schedule) on a weekly
basis at The Wilmette Theatre on Saturday mornings in Winter. Each performer chosen must have versatility to
play a variety of roles.
Out of class work expected. By invitation only or by audition with instructor.
