This position will be front-of-the-house facing only. The Wilmette Theatre is a small staff where we take on an "all hands on deck" approach, meaning- from the "top" to the "bottom", we all pitch in to help keep the Theatre thriving. Everyone scoops popcorn and cleans toilets! This position will too (don't worry, there are only 4 toilets, and it's really easy!)

The basics needs of the role will be to work regular movie schedules behind the concession/ticket counter- ringing people up, scooping that popcorn, fulfilling orders, restocking and cleaning the theaters between shows.

But the primary role will be to engage with the fun community of patrons by working occasional evenings and weekends as the Manager on Duty for events such as Comedy Night, The Cult Film Series, Live Music, and more. 

The ideal candidate will be BASSET certified and/or willing to become certified. Our live events often have alcohol and we need someone to serve them. We don't need someone to work every night, nor every weekend night, but you must be available on occasional evenings and weekends. We host live events and special events a few times a month. The ideal candidate will have a "can-do" attitude and the ability to be a self-motivated person and take initiative! Loving movies is a bonus, but not required. Having reliable transportation is nice too. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds... we haul heavy things like popcorn seeds and such. 

Movies and popcorn are free with the job. Compensation is hourly and can be negotiated at time of hire.
